-Defense Against the Dark Arts Class,the professor scares him silly.But,in a totally awesome,"I want to be like you someday"way.
-Some of the paintings and their ruddiness,a few of the older paintings and their condescending attitudes of him and his appearance.
-Herbology; practical work kills him he fails so badly at it.It's not funny.
-The cramps he gets from being left-handed and the smudges on his work,thankfully he has magic to fix up things like that.
-People assuming things about him because of his sexuality and false rumours spread by a confused but well-meaning friend.
-The Howlers his mother sends him,he gets she wants him to be more like his older sister and that he's a terrible son.
-Having to go home during the summer,he doesn't like going home to his cruel mother and her nails on chalk-board screeching voice.
-Zuccini,it's just a weird vegetable,the look,texture and taste.
-Not getting his school work finished on time,he wants to get good grades and be able to fly and do Quidditch too.
-Being away from His twin brother,it's weird he doesn't like it and feels guilty his brother is stuck at home with their witch-mother.

-Loyalty and utter sense of family,is super strong and he will give up everything to see it turn out alright.
-He doesn't know when to stop,his drive to try any and everything can make his raise his hand for stupid reckless things most would avoid.

✭He and his twin brother ran away when they were just seven,they survived on their own for a little over a month.(He'd do it again in heartbeat)

✭He absolutely loathes his mother,and has thought of various ways to get to her to confess to everything she's done.
History
Edmund and his twin Clark were an accident his mother always claimed as soon as he was old enough to understand and actually listen to a proper conversation.He shielded his younger twin from as much of the mental and emotional abuse as he could.His twin,although born deaf was smarter then him and Edmund knew it encouraging him and helping him in spite of their mother's insistence the boy was dumb to match his deafness.
Flatly ignoring their mother who lavished attention on their "perfect" older sister Hera.He loved his sister,but Clark was his twin and that bond was more important to him then forcing himself to sit through his mother's twitting over Hera's perfection at dinner .Hera tried her best to curb their mother's cruelty where she could.but it was never really enough.
Due to such treatment the twins magical abilities remained stunned and underdeveloped,so they were put to work with the house elves and helped with the cooking,cleaning and gardening.The reason he hates Herbology class as a teenager.By seven the boys' magically abilities still hadn't presented themselves.So,Edmund decided that he and Clark should just run away,they had learnt survival skills and how to live without having any adult attention for most of their lives already.This would be better and healthy for them.
The brothers ran away with the help of their old House-elf nursemaid Flury.For a month they survived beyond their mother's sphere of influence and absolutely thrived.Not choking under her shadow.The boys' magical talent was obvious when both Edmund and Clark managed to start separate fires with the intent to keep themselves warm during the night.
Their magical ability continued to flourish as the month passed by,but on the 3rd of the following month the brothers' were found by Auror Hercules Richmond.He took the boys to St.Mungo's to be treated by the Medical staff for any issues that might have come up due to their month long stay in the elements.
Edmund said he didn't want his brother or himself going back to their mother and gave a report on all her abuse.Auror Richmond said he would look into it and set them up in the care of his sister for the time being.Mrs.Grandthought went to court and she was almost tried and sent away,but a few members of court fought for her as a respected pureblood.
So, sadly the brothers' were sent back to their mother and Auror Richmond lost his job for "Wasting Auror time and resources" When in reality Richmond knew it was just because the court didn't want to drag a "respectable" pureblood name through the mud.That wouldn't stop the man from continuing to watch out for the two boys.
His father having died when he was young in "unusual circumstances",Edmund turned to the now former Auror Richmond for a father -figure,and the kindly man responded and stepped up to the role.With the help of friends and family he made sure the brothers got away from their terrible home-life as much as they could,had good male and female role models and were treated well,feed properly and received love and care they didn't get at home.
It was actually Richmond who took him and Clark to Diagon Alley for school supplies,and who beamed with pride along with his sister,wife and best friend as they all waved goodbye to Edmund on Platform Nine and three quarters.
The quartette still continue to look out for Clark while Edmund is away at Hogwarts,his brother should be with him.But Edmund suspects their mother was destroying any and all Hogwarts letters for Clark,as she doesn't want her child to be recognised by the wider wizarding community as existing.It would mean she was a failure as a pureblood for producing such a child.
Edmund doesn't care for his mother's reasoning,he knows its wrong and his strong moral compass is what's sorted him naturally into Gryffindor.Now In his final year and legally an adult,once his schooling is finished he intents to take his brother away from their mother somewhere safe where she can never bother them again.
Every second he's away from his twin he worries about his brother,secretly for the past seven years he's been copying his blank school assignments and sending them to his brother so he might get some sort of education however limited.And through muggle friends he's learn as much about the law as he could hoping to get him and his brother emancipated from their mother.
