BELLAMY CHARLES HALE
Sixteen Male Pansexual Seventh Gryffindor Cedar with Dragon Heartstring, 11 inches, sturdy Dave Franco |
Passionate | Magnetic | Secretive | Obstinate |
Appearance
Bellamy is handsome and he knows it. He has wavy bronze hair more on the shorter side, but long enough obviously to have a wave to it. His eyes are dark brown, but not murky and dull like some other guys'; they have a certain charm to it that seems to make some drawn to him. His skin is a rich, natural tan color, his nose straight and angular, and a perfect crooked smirk of a smile to throw it all together. He's definitely something fine to look at, and the not so charming bit of him again, is that he knows it.
His sense of fashion is a bit lacking, it's obvious he puts little thought into his outfits because they're much of the same thing when he's not wearing his school robes; dark-washed jeans, tight-fitted shirt in an array of colors, and the same sort of boat shoes most guys seem to wear these days. He has a watch he's had since his fifteenth birthday that he's fond of, but that's really the only accessory that seems more on the personal side.
When he is in his robes though, he lazily leaves his shirt untucked, is rarely seen with his required gray sweater vest on, so he lets his Gryffindor tie hang loose, his black robes draped around him.
He has very few scars and birthmarks. The one noticeable scar, is a particularly nasty one stretching from his left shoulder-blade and dipping toward his collar-bone. He earned it when he was twelve years old and got into a car crash with his family. They all thankfully, survived, but all walked away with some sort of permanent mark of the event.

Personality
Bellamy's appearance is where his charm seems to end. He is incredibly arrogant, well-aware of how good-looking he is, how well-off he is compared to other students in his year and even in the school. He thinks very highly of himself and his intelligence compared to others, he knows he's talented and thinks he's got the right to show it off. He's often cocky, and has a habit of getting on everyone's nerves, because he likes to suss out everyone's nerves and press on them until he's satisfied. He also comes off as domineering because he seeks to be in control of things and take the lead in most situations. He thinks he naturally knows better and because of that he definitely is patronizing as well. He loves to belittle people when he's acting like this.
Despite being inherently quite the Gryffindor, Bellamy can also be selfish. He cares deeply for the things that are his and holds them to himself, which includes his family and his friends, as well as his possessions. Finally, he has an incredibly secretive side which is why he acts like an arse to begin with. He doesn't like to open up about anything more than what people see on a surface level. Though he does reveal how moody he can be, that's about as far as he goes.
Onto a more positive note, Bellamy does have some good traits. He's incredibly, incredibly loyal to those he cares about, and protective of them. He's obviously confident as well, not to mention intuitive which makes him more clever than his personality lets on. He's hard-working, surprisingly so, often staying up till the late hours of the night to get his work done because he really does want to do well. Like many other Gryffindors, he's inherently brave of course, though not recklessly so. He tries to have moderation unlike some of his classmates. Finally, he's good-humored if you actually manage to become his friend (aka if you can stand how much of a prick he is) and surprisingly empathetic toward your feelings.

History
Bellamy was born the youngest and only boy in the Hale family, which explains a lot of his personality in the future. He has three older sisters, two of which have no magic, and only one sharing magic like he does. The family didn't run into many problems when it came to handling their two magical children, as their mother was a witch and had plenty of patience in handling the matter, and explaining what was happening to them as they grew up. Bell's older sisters tended to hang around each other, and they were all close to each other, which caused the boy to act out of indignation and a plea for attention when he grew into a toddler. They all liked him of course, they were all just closer in age - with the youngest of them being still three years older than Bell.
Nina - the youngest sister - was closest to Bellamy as they grew up, as she was the only other sibling to have magic like him. Together, they had a better time controlling their magical outbursts when they spent time together, so their parents encouraged it as much as possible. Overall, the Hales had a peaceful, average childhood. They had brilliant, talented parents and made average income as a teacher and a historian.
As Bellamy grew up, he became quieter and less of a brat toward his sisters. As a result, they came to spend more time with them and by the time he received his Hogwarts letter, he knew he was going to miss them all fiercely. But he was excited to join Nina at the castle. He was pleased to be sorted into Gryffindor alongside her and they were inseperable in his first year there, even though she was a fourth year by that time.
Bell got along well with everyone at this stage, he was pretty easy-going and funny at times. However, when he went home for the winter holidays, he came back as quite a changed young boy. On Christmas Eve, his family got into a car accident on a bridge as an animal jumped out onto the icy road in front of them, plunging into the frozen river below. Nobody walked away from the accident unharmed and doctors say they were all incredibly lucky that they all lived. Bellamy and two oldest sisters got away easy, with scratches and scars, a few broken ribs, a broken arm spread between the three of them. It got worse from there, though. Their mother lost hearing in her right ear from the shock of the freezing water, and sustained several injuries, though not severe. Their father was paralyzed from the waist down for three years before he started showing any progress. Nina lost a leg.
Bellamy returned to Hogwarts two weeks after term started, to too-curious classmates that wanted to know why he was all bandaged up, what had happened, where Nina was, and so on. He remained stubbornly silent on the situation, and ever since then he's been disgusted with how unnecessarily curious people are, and has remained quite secretive all-around after the accident.
Shortly after, he reached his rebellious stage and the ugly traits he gained from it haven't really left. He knows he's wickedly clever and shows it off whenever he can, he teased and belittled people when he thought they were being too annoying in some way or another; or, just because he could. After he hit puberty and his body began changing, he was soon well-aware of how attractive he was. Though he can charm his professors, he has trouble using the same method on his fellow classmates. Some have fallen for it, resulting in very short-term flings in the past two years.
Now, Bellamy is a seventh year and it's finally time for him to decide what exactly he wants in life, and if he's willing to mature beyond the prick he is at the moment in order to get there.
