Appearance
With dark hair that frames her heart-shaped face and striking blue eyes, Ava is certainly a beauty of exotic proportions. She stands at five-foot-four, and often wears heels to make up the difference, she craves to be one inch taller. Ava has a slim figure, and is naturally slender and flexible - able to move her body in ways you may not expect, nor what would seem appropriate.
She has pale, fair skin and a thin sheen of freckles brushed along the bridge of her nose and lightly sprinkled over her cheekbones. She has often tried tanning only to find that her skin turns a nasty shade of red only to turn back to a ghostly pale.
When not in her school robes, you can be sure to find her in very fashionable outfits. It’s a rare occasion to catch her wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but if you have seen her dressed like that, and without makeup, then there’s a very high chance she trusts you not to judge her.

Personality
At a glance, Ava may appear to anyone else to belong in the Ravenclaw. This would be due to that fact that she’s often caught reading at her leisure and brushing up on her knowledge. However, it’s when you truly get to know her that you realize that the sorting hat was not mistaken in placing her in Slytherin. Quiet, does not mean innocent. She is observant, watching everything from a distance, strategizing. She knows all the nasty little secrets everyone has tried to keep to themselves and she has no problem at all bending them to her will, dangling the information she knows above their heads as blackmail. Look beyond her smile, because darkness lies within the shadows.
However, if you manage to burrow a way into her icy heart, you might see a glimpse of a girl changed by the cruelties of the world. She has a weakness for innocence, those people who you could imagine having a wagging tail and floppy ears. She tries not to show it, but those are the people that hit close to home for her. If you manage to be a close friend of hers there is absolutely nothing she won’t do to make sure you are alright. She will not hesitate to manipulate and hurt others in her friend’s favor.

History
In every person’s story, there is always a monster that terrorizes the body, mind, and spirit. Occasionally these monsters are defeated in a triumphant victory, but in most cases these dark beings are hidden in the crevices of the mind in secret. The beasts Ava carries with her are ones that will never be tamed and so she has accepted them as a part of her, having given in to their alluring and destructive nature.
As a child, Ava was drawn to all things mysterious and foreboding, and that included her mother’s fascination for the Dark Arts. Throughout her life, starting at the tender age of six, Ava had been exposed to Dark Magic. Her mother, Eliza began to teach her about the power she might possess when she is older if she is only brave enough to accept it. She secretly would take her daughter into the back of the wooded area where they could not be seen nor heard by either muggles or magic folk. Everything had gone smoothly for years. That was until one night Eliza was simply not careful enough. A close by neighbor witnessed the scene, and it was not long after that Ava was torn from her mother and placed into protective custody. Her mother, sentenced to Azkaban Prison.
It wasn’t a long search to find that Ava had no other family aside from her deranged mother, and with Ava being a stubborn ten-year-old she decided to practice what her mother had taught her on her own accord. When caught she was sent away to another reform school where they would “straighten her out” in hopes of making her a law-abiding citizen, unlike her mother.
It took many weeks, months, and then years to show Ava the wrongness of her actions. They had taken pity on her for being such a young girl exposed to such horrendous acts, but in time they made a break through. Just in time to send the girl away to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she stays year-round with no other family to go to. While she may have learned the type of spells that are inappropriate or simply inhumane, she still has a dark allure towards the magic that ruined her life as a child. You see, the reason she doesn’t have a father, is because her mother spelled him using the Imperius curse to force him to kill himself. It was fortunate Ava hadn’t seen the act, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t imagine what it might have been like, forcing her into sleepless nights of fear that one day she too may be overtaken by the power of darkness.
